Dr. Rajendran Dinesh Kumar, Associate Professor and Consultant ENT & Head and Neck Surgeon, who was invited as a
Faculty Speaker at
RHINOCON Chennai 2025, a premier national conference in Rhinology.
At the conference, Dr. Dinesh Kumar delivered an insightful session on
Balloon Eustachian Tuboplasty and also served as Faculty for the
Surgical Workshop on Eustachian Tuboplasty and Balloon Sinuplasty. His sessions were well received and appreciated by delegates for their clarity, depth, and practical value.
In addition to his faculty role, Dr. Dinesh Kumar actively participated in the competitive scientific sessions, including
Paper, Poster, and Video presentations. His research work stood out among national submissions, earning him the
First Prize (Gold Medal and Certificate) in the
Junior Consultant Category under the prestigious
Mrs. Neena Saharia Award, chosen from
28 shortlisted entries.

World Prematurity Day 2025 on
28th November 2025 with the global theme
“Strong Start for a Hopeful Future.” The event brought together families of
preterm NICU graduates, faculty, and staff to celebrate the resilience and progress of babies born prematurely.

The Department of
Pediatrics, Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital (RRMCH) successfully organized a
Basic Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for nursing students from
24th to 29th November 2025. The training aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and hands-on skills required for effective newborn resuscitation and immediate postnatal care.

During the week-long training, nursing students received practical and interactive sessions on:
Fundamentals of Neonatal Resuscitation
Initial Assessment and Airway Management
Effective Ventilation Techniques
Chest Compressions: Indications and Method
Essential Newborn Care after Stabilization
Hands-on demonstrations and guided practice ensured that students developed the confidence and competence required to manage newborn emergencies.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation, reflecting the students’ commitment to strengthening their neonatal care skills. This training initiative is expected to significantly contribute to improving delivery room preparedness, enhancing the quality of newborn care, and promoting better neonatal outcomes.
The Department of Endocrinology and General Medicine at RRMCH organized a
Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on
November 21, 2025, marking World Diabetes Day as well as
the seventh anniversary of the RRMCH Diabetes Centre. The event was held at the college auditorium and saw enthusiastic participation from faculty, residents, and interns.
The program began with a welcome address by
Dr. Aastha Mehta, first-year medical resident, who highlighted the global importance of World Diabetes Day. The session was chaired by
Dr. Prakash T. G., Professor & Head, Department of Medicine, and
Dr. Prakash, Professor & Head, Department of Nephrology.
Two expert speakers delivered insightful talks:
- Dr. Shruthi Jayaram, Assistant Professor of Endocrinology, spoke on “Diabetes Remission: Hope, Hype & Hard Evidence.”
- Dr. Chandana V., Assistant Professor of Nephrology, presented on “Pillars in the Management of Diabetic Kidney Disease.”
The academic session was moderated by Dr. Mohan K. Rao, Professor & Head, Department of Endocrinology.
The CME concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by a hosted lunch for all attendees. The event reinforced RRMCH’s ongoing commitment to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care in the field of diabetes and its associated complications
