Department Of Community Medicine hosts state level “PG FRESHERS COURSE, 2013-2014” on 4th & 5th of September
The Department of Community Medicine hosted a State level “PG REFRESHER COURSE” for the academic year, 2013-2014 on 4th & 5th of Sept 2013, in co-ordination with Karnataka Association of Community Health (KACH) & Medical Education & Research Trust.
The programme began with registration of the delegates at 8.30 AM on the first day, where 77 participants enrolled. Most of the participants were from major medical colleges of south Indian states Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & Tamil Nadu.
The Invitees (Medical Director, Addln. MD, Dean, Principal, Vice- Principal, HODs of Allied Dept) and Guests of Honour, Prof.Emeritus & Dr.C.Shivaram, President of KACH & Dr.Dayananda, Secretary of KACH presided over the inaugural programme by lighting the lamp. It was followed by the academic sessions that shed light on various trends in Community Medicine.
There was a panel discussion, supported by Saran foods and caterers, on family study and clinic-social case study, pedagogy. Technical team of RRMCH arranged the audio and visual services for the program. The Dept of Community Medicine extends its deep & heartfelt gratitude to our beloved Chairman Sri A.C.Shanmugam & our Executive Director Mr.Vijayanand. The programme, which received much fanfare from the students, was concluded with valedictory function, distribution of certificates to the participants and vote of thanks. Post Graduate students of Community Medicine also observed Teachers Day Celebration, on 5th of September, that added more colours to the programme.
