RESEARCH METHODOLOGY WORKSHOP
A Basic Research Methodology workshop was organized in the Medical Education Unit Hall for the first year Postgraduates by the Medical Education Unit so as to sensitize them to the method of writing a Synopsis – RGUHS. The workshop was divided into six lectures and five group activities in which the participants were introduced to the research methodology, formulating the research topic, framing the aims and objectives, methods and materials, statistical methods and Bibliography. The workshop was started by the welcome speech by Dr. Prashanth kumar M, Chairperson, Medical Education Unit, RRMCH. Postgraduates were divided into nine groups consisting of eight members in each group. The Nine groups selected a research topic and did the group activities in the above mentioned order with the help of moderators. All the nine groups presented the entire synopsis in the presence of judges. The workshop was compered by Dr. Prakash. R and Dr. Jamuna. B. L.
A total of 72 postgraduates, 11 moderators, 5 Judges and 5 speakers participated in this programme. The moderators were
