Revised basic course workshop was conducted by Medical education unit on 10th, 11th,12th of January 2023 for the faculty of Rajarajeshwari Medical College and Hospital. This was conducted as per the guidelines of NMC of India under the observer ship of Dr. Sangeetha, professor, Dept of Anatomy, MVJ Medical College, Bengaluru, external resource faculty of Sri Ramachandra medical college, Chennai.29 participants from preclinical, paraclinical and clinical departments participated and completed the workshop.
Objective of the workshop was to sensitise the faculty to the recently introduced CBME curriculum.
Day 1 : workshop was about introducing the concepts of Indian medical graduate, goals, competencies and specific learning objectives to the participants.
Day 2 : workshop was about choosing appropriate teaching methods for the selected objectives, changes in teaching large group and small group and assessment planning for cognitive domain.
Day 3 : workshop was about teaching and planning for psychomotor domain, AETCOM, self directed learning and networking.
All participants enjoyed the three day workshop. The participants were highly enthusiastic and interactive during the workshop and participated actively in all the group activities.
Feedback was obtained from all the participants after each session.
