Roentegen Day

Department of Radiology organized CME and a felicitation program on November 8th, Friday at RRMCH College Auditorium. The Guest of Honour was Dr. S. R. Hegde, Senior Radiologist and Former HOD, Dept. of Radiology, JJM Medical College & Hospital, Davanagere.

History of Roentegen and discovery of X-Ray compiled by Dr. Pravin G.U., Prof. HOD of the Department of Radio Diagnosis, presented by Dr. Harshitha, PG, Radio Diagnosis Dept.

Harshitha narrated the life of Roentegen and the sequences contributing to the discovery of X-Rays which was a path breaking milestone changing the field of medicine from imagining to imaging.

Dr. Gautham gave a brief talk on Imaging in Stroke, its early clinical diagnosis and imaging wherein the imaging diagnosis within few hours can help in prompt and definitive treatment for the patients with excellent recovery preventing permanent damage to the brain.
