Dr. Rajendran Dinesh Kumar Secures First Prize – Poster Presentation at PedAllerCon 2026, Bengaluru
RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital (RRMCH), Bengaluru, is proud to announce that Dr. Rajendran Dinesh Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of ENT & Head and Neck Surgery, has been awarded the First Prize – Gold Medal for Poster Presentation, among a total of 20 poster entries, at PedAllerCon 2026, the 14th National Conference on Pediatric Allergy & Applied Immunology, held at J.N. Tata Auditorium, IISc, Bengaluru, on 19–20 September 2026.
Dr. Dinesh Kumar received the award for his scientific presentation titled:
“United Airway Disease and the Eustachian Tube: Role of ETDQ-7 as a Patient-Reported Outcome Measure Following Balloon Eustachian Tuboplasty in a Child with Chronic Adenotonsillitis and Serous Otitis Media – A Case Report.”
The presentation highlights the important concept of the “United Airway,” emphasizing the interrelationship between nasal allergy, Eustachian tube dysfunction and middle-ear disease in children, and explores the role of ETDQ-7 in assessing patient-reported outcomes following Balloon Eustachian Tuboplasty.
Securing the First Prize among 20 poster entries at a national scientific conference reflects Dr. Dinesh Kumar’s commitment to clinical excellence, innovative research and academic contribution, and is a proud achievement for the Department of ENT & Head and Neck Surgery and RRMCH.
- Additionally, he was invited as an esteemed Faculty member at the conference.

He actively participated in a multidisciplinary Panel Discussion on United Airway Disease.
- The panel brought together experts including a Pediatrician, ENT, Pulmonologist, and Allergist.
