RRMCH Professor Dr. R. Prema Appointed to Executive Board of Central Adolescent Health Academy

RajaRajeswari Medical College & Hospital (RRMCH) proudly announces that Dr. R. Prema, Professor, Department of Paediatrics, has been installed as an Executive Board Member of the Central Adolescent Health Academy (AHA).

The Central Adolescent Health Academy is a recognized subspecialty branch of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP), dedicated to advancing adolescent health through academic excellence, research, and advocacy.

Dr. R. Prema also served as a panelist on childhood obesity at the prestigious National PEDICON 2026, held in Kolkata on 18 January 2026. The session was attended by a large number of pediatricians from across the country and was highly appreciated. During her talk, she emphasized a life-cycle approach to childhood and adolescent obesity, highlighting its etiology, prevention, and management, and addressing the growing burden of obesity among Indian children and adolescents.
