World Breastfeeding week 1^st to 7^th Aug

Department of Pediatrics from RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital are celebrating “World Breastfeeding week” between 1-8-2014 to 7-8-2014 under the guidance and supervision of Professor and HOD, Dr.Adarsh E Department had come up with various programmes based on this year’s theme i.e. “BREASTFEEDING- A WINNING GOAL FOR LIFE” to bring awareness and spread the knowledge among the mothers and everyone. Dr.Sunil, Associate Professor came up with presentation on this year theme elaborately and educated the audience. Department of OBG and Community Medicine have also joined hands in creating awareness and proving knowledge to mothers. School programmes –awareness programmes where conducted on 10th std students as a part of action ideas and essay competition was held at the school. We received immense support & fruitful participation from school children. Nursing students came up with Poster’s on this year’s theme and also skits about Kangaroo mother care, positioning and best practices as guidelines for the baby care. It was a informative and practical approach to the mothers Further we conducted Quiz competitions and Skit programmes by involving 5^th term, 7^th term, 9^th term students, Interns and Postgraduate Students. Best performance was awarded.
