World Glaucoma week 2025

Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital (RRMCH) celebrated “World Glaucoma Week” from 9th to 15th March 2025 with a series of impactful activities aimed at raising awareness about glaucoma, its detection, and prevention.
The week kicked off with engaging contests for undergraduate students, including a T-shirt painting and photography competition on 10th March. These creative activities helped bring attention to the significance of eye health in a fun and interactive way.
On 13th March, RRMCH hosted a special talk by Dr. Harsha Rao, Senior Consultant at Narayana Nethralaya. His insightful session on the “Clinical Assessment of Optic Disc in Glaucoma” provided valuable knowledge on how glaucoma affects the eyes and the importance of early diagnosis. The event also featured speeches from esteemed dignitaries, including CEO Sri. CN Seetharam, Dean Dr. B. Sathyamurthy, and Prof HOD Dr. Kaushal Kumar. The day concluded with captivating cultural performances, adding a touch of entertainment to the awareness campaign.
