Report on the observation of world tb day – 2015

IEC activity at rural field practice area:
There was a Role Play on Tuberculosis conducted at Thimmegowdanadoddy coming under the Rural Field practice Area of Dept. of Community Medicine, RRMCH on 26th March 2015. It was conducted by the Second Year Post Graduates of the Dept. of Community Medicine, RRMCH – Dr. Naveen Nair, Dr. K S S Vidusha, Dr. Vidya K R and Dr. Amit Kumar Sinha. It was entitled “Kshaya – Innilla Bhaya”. Along with the Second year PGs, the following interns also participated in the play:

The role play was directed at increasing the awareness of the public towards Tuberculosis, its treatment and its prevention. The day started off by Welcome Address delivered by Dr. Shashikala Manjunatha, Professor and Head, Dept. of Community Medicine, RRMCH. It was followed by the role play. The event concluded with the Medical officer of Ittamadu PHC, Dr. Sanjay talking about his experience on successfully treating Tuberculosis at the PHC level. The activity was attended by all the faculty, staff and Post Graduates of the Dept. of Community Medicine, RRMCH. Tea and Biscuits were served to all the audience.
