Hon’ble former Prime Minister Sri. H.D. Deve Gowda has agreed to be the chief guest.

The chief guest arrived at the campus and then proceeded to visit the hospital. The hospital with its state of art facilities and diagnostics services has been offering super specialty services to the poorest of the poor at very reasonable prices. The chief guest interacted with the patients and enquired about the facilities and health care services.
Sri. Deve Gowda then along with both UG and PG graduates of RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital led the procession.
In his welcome speech Sri Seetharam welcoming all , emphasised on the simplicity of Sri. Deve Gowda and also his immense contribution to State and National politics. In his presidential speech the Chairman, Sri. A.C. Shanmugam while articulating on the journey embarked by the chief guest, said that Sri. Deve Gowda stands for humility, standing up for the downtrodden and the oppressed and also for his concern for the farmers.
The Chairman very fondly reminisced his student days and his association with Bengaluru. The chairman Sri. A.C. Shanmugam also spoke about the zeal he had since then towards education. He then talked about the services offered by both Dental and Medical colleges in Bengaluru where in Rural, needy and the poor from different regions, are benefitted. Various Government schemes are run at RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital thus enabling the poor to have health care without sacrificing with the quality. He requested the media personnel to give more mileage to the services offered by the hospital so that deprived sections of the society are aware of availability of such health care. Sri A.C Shanmugam also shared his vision of making RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital, a one stop health care destination in the country. He also urged the Graduates to serve the society especially in rural areas.
Sri DeveGowda in his graduation speech applauded the services offered by the Hospital and said that he never imagined that the facilities in the hospital are given at such low prices. Applauding the efforts and the philanthropic concerns of the Chairman Sr. A.C. Shanmugam, he expressed his happiness over the quality of the health care services given at RRMCH. He also called upon the graduates to serve the poor and the oppressed. He said there is an immediate need to address the imbalance between the ratio of the doctors and the patients in India. He then wished the graduates a bright future.
The occasion also marked the Silver Jubilee Function of RajaRajeswari Dental College and Hospital which is a renowned institution in Karnataka. Sri. Deve Gowda also unveiled the foundation stone of the new auditorium of the Dental College.
Dean of both Dental and Medical Colleges, Medical Director, Principals of both the colleges were present on the dias.
