Anatomy Postgraduate Student Represents India at IFAA 2026 in Melbourne
Dr. Manasa Siddegowda, Final Year Postgraduate Student from the Department of Anatomy, Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital (RRMCH), proudly represented India at the prestigious IFAA 2026 – Congress of the International Federation of Associations of Anatomists, held from 13th to 16th August 2026 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Melbourne, Australia.
The congress, themed “Anatomy for Everyone,” brought together more than 900 delegates from across the world, with 387 poster presentations and 235 oral presentations. The event witnessed wide international participation spanning Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe, providing a vibrant platform for the exchange of knowledge, research and advances in anatomical sciences.
Dr. Manasa was one of only two postgraduate students from India to participate in the congress. She presented her research poster titled “Anatomical Variations of Sural Nerve – A Cadaveric Study,” showcasing her research work on an international platform and contributing to the scientific discourse in the field of anatomy.
Her participation at this globally significant congress is a testament to her dedication to academic excellence, research and professional development. It is also a proud moment for the Department of Anatomy and Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital, reflecting the institution’s commitment to fostering research and providing students with opportunities to engage with the global academic community.
