Anti-Tobacco Awareness Campaign

An awareness campaign on Anti-Tobacco Awareness was organized by Department of Community Medicine, RRMCH at Taralabalu High school, Chunchunakuppe. The program was coordinated by Dr. Shashikala Manjunatha, Dr. A. C. Shyam, Dr. K. Vidusha, Mr. Venkatesh and the field staff of RHTC Chunchunakuppe. Dr. Jinsa along with interns gave health education regarding types of tobacco, the negative impact that tobacco has on people’s lung health, from cancer to chronic respiratory disease. Students were educated regarding the risks posed by tobacco smoking and second-hand smoke exposure. Students pledged to boycott tobacco products and create mass awareness to highlight the negative impacts of tobacco on human health.
