CME on “Anemia: An Enigma”
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital (RRMCH), Bengaluru, successfully organised a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme titled “Anemia: An Enigma” on 3rd August 2026 under the guidance of Dr. B. M. Rupakala, Professor and Head of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
The CME brought together renowned experts to deliberate on the latest evidence-based approaches to the diagnosis and management of anemia in obstetrics and gynaecology. Centered around the inspiring theme, “Every Drop of Blood Tells a Story – Today We Learn How to Read It,” the programme provided an enriching academic experience for faculty members, clinicians, and postgraduate students.
The scientific sessions were delivered by distinguished speakers Dr. Seethalakshmi Subramanian, Senior Consultant Hematopathologist, St. John’s Medical College Hospital, and Dr. Govind Eriat, Consultant Hematologist and Hemato-Oncologist, Gleneagles BGS Hospital. Their insightful presentations covered recent advances in the evaluation and treatment of anemia, complemented by practical case discussions and evidence-based clinical recommendations.
The interactive sessions encouraged active participation and thoughtful discussions, enabling attendees to gain valuable clinical insights and enhance their diagnostic and management skills.
