CME on Pancreas – From Bench to Bedside

On the occasion of “WORLD ORGAN DONATION DAY” Department of Anatomy had organised a CME on the topic PANCREAS – FROM BENCH TO BEDSIDE, to spread the awareness about the importance of organ donation and to debunk the myths related to pancreas transplantation.
The speakers for the program were:
1. Dr. VIDYA .C.S. professor of Anatomy, JSS Medical College, Mysore. Who gave talk on overview of development and gross features of Pancreas.
2. Dr. Suresh Raghavaiah , Multiorgan transplant surgeon, Apollo Hospitals who gave talk on Pancreas transplantation.
The program started with invocation & Lamp lighting by all the dignitaries, Dr. Shruthi .B.N, professor & HOD, Anatomy, welcomed the gathering. All the sessions were interactive and lively. More than 150 participants participated offline and nearing to 100 participants were online viewers. The program ended with vote of thanks followed by Lunch.
