Department of General Medicine had organized a CME on “Recent Advances in Stroke. Speaker 1: Dr.Shakthi K J S Consultant Neurologist Topic : Stroke Epidemiology, risk factors & clinical features Dr.Shakthi K J S spoke on prevalence of stroke in India. She highlighted the role of modifiable and non modifiable risk factors for stroke. The clinical features of stroke & early warning signs of stroke were highlighted. Speaker 2: Dr.B K Madhusudhan Professor of Neurology RRMCH. Topic: Golden hour in stroke management Dr.B K Madhusudhan spoke on the golden hour in stroke management. The role of thrombolytic therapy, benefits & risks explained in detail. Speaker 3: Dr.Kishore J Consultant Neurologist Topic : Stroke in young Dr.Kishore J spoke on the peculiarities of stroke in children and the various risk factors.
