Complementary Feeding Day 2022

The department of Paediatrics, Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital in association with IAP BPS had conducted complementary feeding day on 10/06/2022 in the hospital lobby, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm to create awareness of start of complementary feeds at 6 months of age. The Members present in the program were Dean, Medical Superintendent and parents, Doctors, Post Graduates and interns around 100 members in total. The programme started with introduction to the complementary feeds which was highlighted by Dr. Adarsh E, HOD & professor of Paediatric department. The significance of proper start of complimentary feeds and proper weaning was illustrated to an audience through skit performance by Post Graduate students. The advantage of this complimentary feeding was explained by the interns. The poster showing recipes of weaning food and different varieties of pulses fruits, vegetables were also displayed. The parents and caretakers reciprocated that they will carry back this message. The program followed by a speech by Medical Superintendent Dr. Praveen. The program came to a conclusion with vote of thanks.
