Guest Lecture by Dr. Manjunath Heggere at RRMCH – Department of Pathology
A Guest Lecture was organized by the Department of Pathology, Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital (RRMCH) on 27th November 2025 from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
The guest lecture was delivered by Dr. Manjunath Heggere, MD, Pathologist and Medical Director of Laboratory Services at Windber Medical Center, Windber, Pennsylvania, USA, and President of Western Pennsylvania Pathology, LLC.
Dr. Manjunath spoke on two important topics: Atypical Intraductal Proliferations of Breast and Basics of Autopsy. He elaborated diagnostic criteria, morphological features, and differential diagnoses related to atypical intraductal proliferations, highlighting common pitfalls and correct categorization.
The second part of the lecture was focused on basics of autopsy, including techniques, documentation, and its relevance in medical education and clinico-pathological correlation. The session was attended by faculty members of pathology department of our institution along with the postgraduates. Delegates from other various colleges like Sri Chamundeswari Medical College and MVJ medical college also attended the session.
The lecture was conducted in the demonstration room, second floor, College campus. The lecture was well received, and the participants appreciated the clarity and depth of the scientific content.
