Health Education on Anemia Prevention & Control
A Screening program for Anemia was conducted on 10.05.2019 (Friday) in Anganwadi, K.RHalli RHTC for the women in the reproductive age group. Screening test was done for around 25 women, after the screening test, based on the Hb% the women were categorized into mild, moderate & severe Anaemia. Iron & folic acid tablets were distributed to anemic patients. Women with severe Anemia were referred to RRMCH for further management.
Health Education on “Anemia Prevention & Control” was given by Interns Abhishek, Ananya & Aashish under the guidance of Dr. Santosh Achappa, Assistant Professor, Dept of Community Medicine, RRMCH. Health education included causes, symptoms, and consequences of Anemia and about the Iron rich foods. The program concluded with the feedback from the women
