Menstrual Hygiene Day Celebration

Menstrual Hygiene Day is observed annually on 26th May to raise awareness about the importance of good menstrual hygiene management and to break taboos surrounding menstruation. On this occasion, Rajarajeshwari Medical College, organized a series of activities to educate students and the community about menstrual health and hygiene.

Objectives:
* To create awareness about menstrual hygiene practices
* To eliminate myths and stigma associated with menstruation
* To promote the use of safe and hygienic menstrual products
* To educate adolescent girls and women about reproductive health

The celebration was conducted under the guidance of HOD of Dr. Rupakala B M, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in collaboration with department of community medicine.

The programme began with an inaugural session presided over by the Principal, Dean, Medical superintendent, who emphasized the importance of menstrual health awareness in society.
