Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital is pleased to announce Nanopore, a state-of-art DNA/RNA sequencing platform in our institution which can be used for both pure research and translational research.
We are the first private Medical College in India with this upgrade in genome sequencing technology to use this state of art long read sequencing, proudly said DR. Vijayanand. S., Executive Director, RRGI.
We will be extensively using this platform in our hospital to develop personalised medicine quoted, Dr. Sathyamurthy, Dean RRMCH. We are the front runners to utilise this platform in the fight against Antimicrobial Resistance, the next silent pandemic, in addition; it can also be used to develop a research skill set for medical students said Dr. Sangeetha.S., Professor of Microbiology.
The institution also plans to fund and raise grants for optimal use of this novel technology.
