International Mind-Body Wellness Day – January 3, 2025. January 3 is International Mind-Body Wellness Day, an opportunity to celebrate how a healthy mind and healthy emotions means a healthy body! The mind, body and soul connection plays an integral role in our overall health and well-being.
The New Year signifies that the time has arrived to bid farewell to the by-gone year and to welcome the New Year. Traditionally, the New Year was celebrated on the first of March every year. However, this date was switched to January 1 as it is considered to have a more religious significance. With the growth of the western culture across the globe, New Year’s Day on January 1 in the Gregorian calendar has been one of India’s many celebrations.
Dr. Adarsh, Professor and Head of the Department, Rajarajeswari Medical College, and EB member of CIAP 2023 & 2024, in association with the Central IAP, organized a workshop titled “DAME (Developmental Assessment Made Easy)” on 21st December 2024 at Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital.
The workshop featured renowned speakers, Dr. Sivaprakasam, Dr. Sivaraman, and Dr. Lal Nair, who shared their expertise on early childhood development. Over 50 delegates, including postgraduates and consultants, participated in the event. The workshop aimed to provide valuable insights into early childhood development and equip participants with practical tools and strategies for assessing developmental milestones effectively.

At Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital (RRMCH), our staff and students embraced the festive spirit with enthusiasm. The lobby was beautifully decorated with a magnificent Christmas tree, attracting attention from all visitors. Its stunning ornaments and festive lights brought an added sense of joy and cheer to the atmosphere.
Students, staff, and visitors alike were delighted to capture memories, eagerly taking selfies with the Christmas tree. The entire scene radiated warmth and happiness, symbolizing the true essence of the holiday season.
RRMCH extends heartfelt wishes for a “Very Merry Christmas” to everyone, hoping the joy and peace of the season fill your hearts and homes.
In order to promote team work the Quiz competition was conducted
21/12/2024 for MBBS phase I 2024-25 batch students. The competition conducted was exciting & intellectually simulating event that brought participants together to show case their knowledge & quick thinking.
The competition was structured into multiple rounds, each testing different divisions of Anatomical knowledge such as Gross anatomy, Histology & Embryology.
The rounds ranged from easy questions to more challenging ones ensuring that everyone had a fair chance to compete while keeping the audience engaged.
In the end, the winners were celebrated for their exceptional knowledge & team work. All participants were acknowledged for their effort &
enthusiasm. The quiz competition was an enjoyable & valuable experience for all involved.
State level live cadaveric workshop was conducted by Department of Anatomy in association with department of Dermatology & Bangalore dermatology society on 15/12/2024 to demonstrate the SMAS layer vasculature of face.
It is very important for Dermatologist to understand the location & extent of muscles of face, distribution of fat & dangerous areas of face while injecting Botox & fillers.
Dr. Yogitha R Prof. & HOD department of Anatomy from St. Johns Medical college gave exhaustive demonstration & Dr. Shruthi B N Prof. & HOD department of Anatomy Rajarajeswari Medical College moderated the
workshop.
More than 150 delegates attended this workshop from different places of Karnataka.
