Gandhi Jayanti is an event celebrated in India to mark the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. It is celebrated annually on 2 October, and is one of the three national holidays of India.
The Department of Anatomy, as the coordinating department for the foundation course of the 2023-2024batch of 1st-year MBBS students, organized the White Coat Ceremony. The event commenced at 10:30am on 27/9/2023, in Kadamba Hall, with the presence of both students and faculty. Parents joined online through the youtube link provided. Dr. Bharathi D, Associate Professor, assumed the role of the program moderator. The ceremony began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed by dignitaries being invited to the dais and a heartfelt invocation through a melodious song performed by our I year MBBS student Ms Nayana Krishna. Dr Sarala, Associate Professor, co-hosted the event.

Ayushman Mela (Multispeciality Health Camp) under Ayushman Bhav Campaign was held on 19/09/2023 at Chandrappa Circle CHC. It was organised by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in association with Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital.
Department of Community Medicine arranged the camp. Dr.Vidusha (Associate Prof), Dr.Elavarasan, Dr. Deepika (Residents), Mr. Andrews (MSW) ,RHTC field staff Mr Venkatesh,Mrs Kamala,Mrs Swetha actively took part in Coordinating the camp. The faculty and PGs from departments of General Medicine, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, Dermatology,pediatrics and OBG were involved in the camp along with interns and staff nurses from Rajarajeswari Medical College. The camp started at 10:30 am and extended till 3:30 pm. Free medicines was provided by the CHC representatives for the beneficiaries. Transport was arranged by RRMCH. The camp concluded successfully.

Department of Community Medicine arranged the camp. Dr.Aishwarya.S (Associate Prof), Dr.Arun Kumar, Dr. Amir (Residents), Mrs.Gunasheela (HW) actively took part in Coordinating the camp. The faculty and PGs from departments of General Medicine, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, Dermatology were involved in the camp along with interns and staff nurses from Rajarajeswari Medical College. The camp started at 10:30 am and extended till 3:30 pm. Free medicines was provided by the CHC representatives for the beneficiaries. Refreshments and lunch was provided by the organizers and transport was arranged by RRMCH. The camp concluded successfully.
