Parent Teacher’s Meet 2026

PTM Committee have organized “First Parent Teacher’s Meet 2026” for First MBBS batch students on

Date: 19th February 2026
Venue: Kadamba Hall (College Auditorium)
Time: 9:30 am to 3:00 pm

MBBS Phase I (Batch 2025–26)
The first Parent–Teacher Meeting (PTM) for the MBBS Phase I Batch (2025–26) was organized by the PTM Committee of Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital and conducted on Thursday, 19th February 2026, at Kadamba Auditorium, RRMCH College Building. As a prelude to the scheduled PTM, mentors of the 2025–26 batch had shared detailed academic performance reports, including internal assessment marks and attendance records, with parents well in advance via email. This proactive communication enabled meaningful and focused discussions during the meeting.

Objectives of the PTM
The meeting was convened with the following objectives:
1. To discuss the academic progress and attendance of students.
2. To sensitize parents regarding university requirements and eligibility criteria for appearing in the final university examinations. 3. To address concerns related to hostel accommodation, fee structure, and other academic or administrative matters. Inaugural Session

The PTM commenced at 9:30 AM with an inaugural address delivered by Dr. Prathibha K, Associate Professor, Department of Biochemistry, on behalf of the PTM Committee.
This was followed by a welcome address by Dr. Sathyamurthy, Dean of RRMCH, who warmly greeted the parents and emphasized the importance of collaborative engagement between parents and faculty in shaping students’ academic success.
Dr. Shruthi, Professor, Department of Anatomy and Chairperson of the Institutional Mentor–Mentee Program, delivered a concise PowerPoint presentation outlining the university examination eligibility criteria, attendance requirements, and academic expectations.

Interactive Session
The formal addresses were followed by an interactive session between parents and mentors. Constructive discussions focused on academic performance, learning challenges, and strategies for improvement.
Parents of slow learners were advised to meet the Heads of the Preclinical Departments, who were present at the venue along with faculty mentors, for detailed academic guidance and support.
Concerns related to hostel facilities, fee payments, and administrative matters were addressed by the respective hostel wardens and representatives from the academic section, who were available throughout the program for consultation.

Student Participation & Hospitality
The event was efficiently moderated with the support of student volunteers from the 2025–26 batch. The volunteers assisted in guiding parents, coordinating sessions, and facilitating smooth interactions between faculty and parents.
Refreshments were thoughtfully arranged outside Kadamba Auditorium for faculty and parents. Both pre-lunch and post-lunch interactive sessions were conducted seamlessly, and the PTM formally concluded at 4:00 PM.

Attendance & Feedback
Parents of 111 students attended the PTM in person. Several parents who were unable to attend due to personal commitments or long-distance travel communicated via email with respective mentors, expressing their intent to meet faculty members in the coming days. Feedback forms were collected from all attending parents and documented for review. An outcome analysis is planned and will be shared with members of the PTM Committee to facilitate improvements in planning and conducting the second PTM, tentatively scheduled for June 2026. The successful conduct of the first PTM reflects the institution’s continued commitment to transparent communication, academic excellence, and holistic student development through active parent–faculty collaboration.
