RRMCH Faculty Win Best Original Paper Award at ISCCM 2026
RajaRajeswari Medical College & Hospital (RRMCH) is proud to announce that Dr. Sangeetha Sampath, Professor, Department of Microbiology, RRMCH and Dr. Anbazhagan, Associate Professor, Molecular Medicine Division, Central Research Laboratory, RRMCH have been awarded the Best Original Paper Award at the National Conference of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM 2026).
The prestigious conference was held at the Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, from 27th February 2026 to 1st March 2026, and brought together leading critical care specialists, researchers, and academicians from across the country.
The award-winning research paper titled: “Nanopore Genomic Analysis of Multi-drug Resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae from Critically Ill Patients: A Case Study” highlights the application of advanced nanopore sequencing technology to analyse multi-drug resistant (MDR) pathogens in critically ill patients. The study provides valuable insights into genomic characterization, antimicrobial resistance patterns, and the potential for precision diagnostics in critical care settings.
