RRMCH Postgraduate Students Awarded Prestigious ICMR Dissertation Grants

RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital (RRMCH) is proud to announce a significant achievement in postgraduate research, with two of its postgraduate students being awarded prestigious dissertation grants from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

The Management and Institute Heads extend their heartfelt congratulations to:
Dr. G. Muthu Balaji, postgraduate student, under the guidance of Dr. Meena K. Nandimath, Professor, Department of Pharmacology.
Dr. Meghana Raju, postgraduate student, under the guidance of Dr. Archana B. R., Professor & Head, Department of Microbiology.

The ICMR dissertation grant is a valuable opportunity that supports postgraduate students in undertaking focused scientific research and encourages them to contribute to the growing body of evidence-based medical knowledge. This achievement reflects the students’ dedication to research, along with the consistent guidance and mentorship provided by their faculty.

RRMCH places strong emphasis on nurturing a vibrant research-oriented academic environment, encouraging students and faculty to engage in meaningful research and explore opportunities for national and international funding.

Through the Office of the Joint Registrar, Dr. MGRERI, faculty members are encouraged to actively motivate and guide students to identify and apply for research grants and funding opportunities offered by ICMR and other national and international funding agencies. Mentorship in proposal writing, protocol development, research methodology and the grant application process is instrumental in strengthening research participation across departments.

This achievement stands as a testament to the institution’s continued commitment to academic excellence, research, innovation and evidence-based healthcare.

RRMCH congratulates the awardees and their mentors on this noteworthy accomplishment and looks forward to many more such milestones in postgraduate research in the years to come.
