1st MBBS – White Coat Ceremony – 2022-2023 “White Coat Ceremony” for the first year MBBS 2022 – 2023 batch on Date : 15.12.2022 Time : 10:00 am 1:00 pm Venue : Kadamba Hall ALL ARE CORDIALLY INVITED Biochemistry Department being the coordinating Department for foundation course of 2022-2023 batch, conducted ‘White coat ceremony’. The program started at 9:30 am on 15th December 2022. All the students and faculty assembled in Kadamba Hall. Dr. Reena R(professor) was the moderator for the program. The program started by inviting the dignitaries on the day is followed by invoking the blessings of God with a beautiful song by 1st year MBBS students (Keerthana, Sinchana, Lahari&Rachitha) and lighting the lamp. The welcome speech was given by Dr. Priyadarshini K.S., Professor of Biochemistry.Madam welcomed the Guest of Honor Dr. Pradeep Banandur, dignitaries, resource faculties, Heads of Preclinical Departments, students and parents. The audiences were addressed by respected Dean Dr. Sathyamurthy B. He emphasized the importance of white coat; its duties and responsibilities. Dr. Yogesh MK (Joint registrar academics& Professor of Physiology) introduced guest of honorDr.PradeepBandandur Professor & HOD, Department of Epidemiology, NIMHANS, Bengaluru. It was followed by Felicitation of guest of Honor by Dean Dr. Satyamurthy B, Medical Superintendent Dr. Praveen Kumar and Principal Dr. Naveen S. Dr. Pradeep Banandurdelivered the ceremonial address to the gathering. He enlightened the audience by his precious words of wisdom and guided our students on code of conduct for this noble profession. Later ‘White coat donning’ started. All the faculties were invited on the stage for donning the white coat to the students. It was followed by administration of modified CharakShapath by Medical Superintendent Dr. Praveen Kumar. The winning teams (6 teams) for e-poster competition on “Ground Breaking Discoveries”which was held during foundation course were congratulated and awarded with certificates by the Chief guest Dr. Pradeep Banandur. The Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Bindu C.M. Professor, Department of Biochemistry. The program concluded with National Anthem, group photo and high tea.
