World Environment Day – 2015
World Environment Day, with the theme – “Seven Billion Dreams, One Planet, Consume with Care” was Observed on 5th June 2015. It was organized by Department of Community Medicine, Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital.
All the Staff & Students of Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital. Pinned a Small Green Ribbon bows on their Dress, as a mark of Respect for the World Environment Day & also to Contribute towards World Environment Day, by Pledging an Oath for Clean Environment through Signature Campaigning.
The Masters of Ceremony for the Event was Dr. Srividya. V., Associate Prof, Dept. of Community Medicine.
The Events began with Invocation Song by Dr. Ramya. K. S., Final year PG Student, Dept. of Community Medicine.
This was followed by Lighting of the Lamp by Medical Director, Dr. D.L Ramachandra, Dean, Dr. Shivakumar Veeraiah, Vice – Principal, Dr. SathyaMurthy, Prof & HOD, Dept. of Community Medicine, Dr. Shashikala Manjunatha, Prof & HOD, Dept. of Radiology, Dr. Praveen.
Welcome Speech was delivered by Dr.Shashikala Manjunatha, Prof & HOD, Dept. of Community Medicine.
Thematic Presentation was done by Dr. Swapna, Asst. Prof, Dept. of Community Medicine.
Pledging the Oath for Healthy & Conducive Environment was presented by Dr. Srividya. V., Associate Prof, Dept. of Community Medicine.
The Signature Campaigning on Pledging for Consuming with Care – Water, Power, Food, Proper Environmental Hygiene, Proper Disposal of Waste, Minimizing use of plastic, etc. was done by Staff & Students of Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital.
Finally Plant/Tree Saplings were Planted, by Medical Director, Dr. D.L Ramachandra, Dean, Dr. Shivakumar Veeraiah, Vice – Principal, Dr. SathyaMurthy, Prof & HOD, Dept. of Community Medicine, Dr. Shashikala Manjunatha, Prof & HOD, Dept. of Radiology, Dr. Praveen, Prof & HOD, Dept. of Microbiology, Dr.Sangeetha, Staff & Students of Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital, in the Campus.
